ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Valérie, a French Canadian novelist who writes genre fiction under the pen name Valerie L. Ravenscroft.
I was born in Montreal in the ever glorious brown-furniture-and-spray-net era that we call the 80's, and have been socially awkward since! I live in my head a lot (which led to the loss of countless milk cartons that I distractedly put back in the pantry) and love to invent worlds and characters. I crush hard on smart and strong characters, but very rarely on actors (unless they are British).
I still live in my native, cold province of Québec, where I dream of beaches and palm trees on a regular basis. I am servant to my cat, and slave to my library which needs remodeling every few weeks because of the multiplying spell I seem to have cast on my books.
When I'm not writing, I can be found drawing, singing or smothering my cat with hugs. Or feeling guilty about the fact that I'm not writing.
